Iskum Investments Featured at the Indigenous Resource Opportunities Conference

May 9, 2024

On Friday April 26, 2024, members of the Iskum Investments leadership team presented their vision for economic and environmental reconciliation at IROC – the Indigenous Resource Opportunities Conference in Nanaimo.

Our panel discussion was entitled ‘Iskum Investments: Self-Directed Consortium of 20+ First Nations Building a Sustainable Future in the Forest Sector’. Thanks so much to the C3 Alliance team for having us on their fascinating program!

In the words of Robert Dennis Sr., Iskum Investments Chair: “We started getting together, and one thing that I found out was how closely we were aligned on economic development, how closely we were aligned on stewardship, how closely we were aligned on creating jobs for our people, how closely we were aligned on benefiting all of British Columbia. So to me, that is part of that economic reconciliation formula. It’s not just for one group – it’s for all of us.”
